This 10 month program (1080 hours) provides students with entry-level knowledge and skills needed to function in a variety of health care settings.
Our adult and secondary HVAC programs are designed to teach the basic elements of HVAC/R to help enable one to function in an entry-level position in the field
Students enrolled in Emergency Services will experience the exciting world of emergency services first hand.  The program will provide the student with excellent insight into this fast-paced exciting career.

Students are able to work as plumbers and are eligible to take National Center for Construction Education and Research exams (NCCER), Diamondback, GasTite, and WARDFLEX Installer certification exams.
Students study pharmaceutical and medical terminology, pharmacy environment, organization and management, pharmacy law and regulations, properties of drugs, dosages, compounding and parental admixture operations, packaging and labeling, controlled drug dispensing system, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, aseptic techniques, purchasing and inventory control systems, pharmacy record keeping, sterile preparation of intravenous admixtures, introduction to microcomputers and keyboarding skills.
This program is designed to prepare students for careers in the Respiratory Care profession. Successful completion of the program enables the graduate to sit for the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) national examinations.
The Surgical Technology program prepares you to work in the exciting world of the operating room.
The Veterinary Technician works under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian in assisting with animal care and in a variety of employment settings.
The Welding Technology program is nationally approved through the American Welding Society (AWS) and students who pass the SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, or OAW will be awarded a WV Department of Education Certificate and will be placed on the AWS registry
Dental Assistants assist dentist's in a variety of functions. This is an excellant job for those wishing to enter the dental field and grow.
This program is designed to teach drafting knowledge and skills through both board drafting and computerized programs such as AutoDESK’s AutoCAD & Bentley’s Microstation.
This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of electrical work, terminology, basic principals, and the theory underlying general practices and enable students to work in entry level electrical positions
The goal of the Culinary Apprentice Program at Carver Career and Technical Education Center is to provide future culinarians entering the workplace with comprehensive training in the practical and theoretical aspects of work required in the highly skilled profession
Carver Career Center’s Collision Repair Technology class is accredited by the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence). After completion of the class, graduates are eligible to take the ASE exams.
Students may study hair care (styling, cutting, shampooing, coloring, perming, scalp treatments, skin care, nail care, manicures, cuticle, treatments, holiday nails, artificial nails, pedicures), and salon management.
Building Construction prepares you for a career in the commercial and residential building sectors. This is an in demand skill set in West Virginia.
