The Courses I will Take.

This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of electrical work, terminology, basic principals, and the theory underlying general practices and enable students to work in entry level electrical positions. Students will study Watts Law, Ohms Law, Electrical Math, Electrical Projects, Grounding, Switching, Wiring, and Services. Students will become proficient in application of the National Electrical Code.

The Adult Program is Eleven Months and requires 1250 hours of class work.

The High School Program is Ten Months and 1080 hours.

Graduates are eligible to take the West Virginia Apprentice or Journeyman's Licensing Exam and receive 30 hours towards an Associates of Science degree at WVUIT. Graduates also can obtain an electricians license from the State Fire Marshals Office.

This course is part of the EDGE program.

Weekly Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:05 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. or 11:40 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (High School) 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Adults)
